What a wonderful morning it was, even though the weather tried to spoil the last few races.  Our kids all put in a great effort and tried their hardest to run as far as they could and earn as many points for their house as possible.  Our new Sports Captains enjoyed the challenge of trying to get their houses to work together to perform some war cries and to encourage some house spirit.  There were some great performances with plenty of runners selected to go through to the Peak Downs Cross Country next Monday.
Thank you to everyone who worked to put the morning together, especially Mr Robinson who spent much time in HPE lessons motivating the students and bulding up their endurance and also to Mrs Scott who spent a lot of time preparing the course to ensure it was safe.  Thank you to all staff who worked on checkpoints on the morning and to the Tuckshop ladies who provided the parents and visitors with a cuppa and something to eat.
On parade we acknowledged the age champions and presented them with their medals. We were lucky enough to have Councillor Lynn Jones available to present these prizes.  Our age champions were:
8yrs- Tyla Braxton and Claire Finger
9yrs-Charlie Sellwood and Hannah Appleton
10yrs-Jasper Cook and Avah Lawrence
11yrs-Brodie Robinson and Lilly Reeves
12yrs- Abbie McKie and Blake Weier
The champion house by a tiny 4 point margin was once again Armstrong.
